Hidden journalling under the bottom photograph reads:
These photos were all taken at about the same time, June and July 1997, when Tyson was 6 to 8 weeks old. His sleeping problems hadnít started in earnest yet, but we had already given up on the bassinet, it was so much easier to rock him to sleep in the pram. Anyone familiar with how babies sleep would recognise these sorts of photos. They would sometimes Ďstartleí in their sleep, and stretch their hands out as if to grab on to something. If you watch closely enough, you can see their eyes moving back and forth as they are dreaming. What do babies dream about?
You can see in these photos also, how he wore off all of his baby hair, so as to be even balder than at birth. All he had left was a little fringe around the bottom, where his heavy head didnít rub. His hair took a long time to grow back, he didnít have his first hair cut until after he had turned 2.
