European Adventure - pg 6 & 7
Trying smorrebrod at our danish hosts home. Apparently there is a 'right' order in which you are supposed to make your open faced sandwiches. 1st - herring or some other type of fsh with veggies, 2nd -some other kind of meat (ex ham or turkey, etc) with veggies, 3rd - cheese with veggie (the cheese always comes last ???? I dunno - we just ended up combining it all together to make it more appealing. and then of course we drank beer with it!
At our hosts house. It was built in the 1700's and has a straw roof. The doors were so short I had to duck to go through. This has a group picture at their house, it was such a beautiful day and they taught us a new lawn game, King (Kubb).
