This is a photo of my grandfather at I'm guessing the age of 6.Which would make this photo taken in 1902.He,as well as several generations before him, lived in Millville,NJ all of their lives. This is the second lo of this photo.I'm doing 3 for my brother, sister, and myself. Two down, one to go!
I'm a big fan of Catz, and so I tried scraplifting her "These are the moments..."lo,but I couldn't quite get it right...All in all,I'm still pretty pleased with how this turned out.I used a myriad of pps from K&co,Basic Grey's teacher's lounge from their "recess" collection,My Mind's Eye Bohemia 'Backyard adventure".I edged the 2 background pps with pinking shears, and used my scissors to shag up the edges of the Mat pp.Then inked everything! My thanks to 2dogs who made me realize I can use more than 1 color ink to give my lo's more depth!I used salt cedar branches that I cut down to size for the arrangement at right.I also tore apart feather picks from the floral dept. for the bottom left of photo.Printed out a drawing of a bird's nest, cut out the nuthatches from a greeting card and inked.I used Prima flowers centered with antique buttons,as well as Prima hydrangea blooms, and as Scrappin'bikerchick would say,"Called it done!"Thanks so much for looking!
