Made myself a cardboard template for the 'feathers'. Each was fussy-cut from patterned paper, then inked (I think I got a little carried away with the inking--I'm still learning the art of inking, so it's still tons of fun!) :) I then cannibalized Sizzix's 'Rooster' die. Had to cut off his little head and turn it upside down. Added a beak, eyes, and colored in the 'waddle' (which is now at his chin --since roosters' have 'combs', not waddles). I then inked his little body, colored in his feet and proceeded with glueing him all together. For the card portion I used Sizzix's "Big Top Note" (for 'Stampin' Up'!). After inking the edges, I added a simple accorn stamp to the bottom corner to balance things out before adding the diner's name. I was inspired by (AKA: scraplifted) from 'Paper Crafts Connection'.
By AngieBaby 33 seconds ago Edit Other Products: ColorBox Archival Ink--Bronze (for accorn stamp) Accorn stamp purchased @ "Michael's" (SIDE NOTE: this wood block stamp came as 2 accorns in one stamp. I wanted to use only the one accorn for the corner as pictured, so I used a small sticky note to place over the stamp while inking, then removed before stamping image to page. This 'process' was done with each card.
