Good for you! I have always wanted to learn, and gave my mother a hard time about it. Then she reminded me that we did not have a piano. Of course, that was in the dark ages before electronic keyboards.
Good for you! I took piano lessons from Kindergarten till Grade 11 - finally begged my parents to let me stop - I hated practicing, I have no sense of timing...... (the list could get quite long) and so I said it was a waste of their money! They let me stop, and I haven't regretted it. I can play well enough that if I do feel like sitting down and pounding out chopsticks - I can do that much. :)
good for you! that is on my to do list as well, either learn to play the piano, or..the violin, well more fiddle than violin. (I know it is the same instrument depends on what you play on it as to wheather it is a fiddle or violin.)
I had my first piano lesson today and I'm very excited! I took some piano when I was in high school but quit due to the fact that I had a mad crush on my piano teacher's son. When I would go for a lesson, if he happened to be there, I literally could not play. I froze! His mom didn't know I had the crush so I'm sure she must have thought I was completely inept!! Finally, my parents let me quit and sure enough, like they told me, I lived to regret it so now I am taking from one of my daughter's friends. She is 16 and plays beautifully and has been teaching for 2 years.
