This is beautiful! I recently broke my ankle & my leg, which left me pretty much couch-bound for several weeks. I had never made cards, just scrapbooked. Card making has become my therapy--I found it boosted my spirits and the creative juices poured out. Good luck with your depression--sounds like you found an angel in your Dr.
This is a thank you gift that I gave to my doctor. She is helping me through my depression. We were talking about work and when I told her I was worried because my hours got cut back and I needed the money fo rback to school shopping, she insisted that I didn't worry and gave me $200! She calls me every couple of days to check up on me and offered to call to have my appointment with the child psychologist expedited. I wanted an extra beautiful card.
I know that the shadows are pretty harsh, but I really like this picture. I accidently had my camera off of auto mode (it was on mode p? whatever that means) and the colors stayed incredibly true to the actualy card. The brown swirl is glittered (stamp +glue pad +glitter), the butterfly is covered with BG paper and folded out (I colored the body with marker and attached very tiny button accents). Three brads in the upper left balance the card but leave plenty of "white space". The sentiment is a rub on.
