Being the mother of 3 boys and 2 of which joined the Marines in July 2011 (around time u posted LO) I understand every inch of pain you feel as a hearing the words "mom I'm going to serve our country" 1st thought is how proud you are, and all other thoughts are NO NOT MY SON, NOT IN THIS WAR. PLEASE LORD TAKE THE WHEEL! It's great the love you expressed for him. Thank him for his service. I think this is now my fav LO SHEILA (new scrap booker)but loving it already(& I haven't started 1 thing lol) from 1soldiers mom to another (but with 1 common goal). Thanks again Sheila

I did this lo..dedicated to my son serving in the army he is Afghanistann and will be returning in october i circled the date on my lo... also I wrote a letter decribing why i have the two photo's here is the letter.. Dear Nikko I was looking at your photo's as I came across your baby picture you were only one month old and very sick. You can tell in your face and legs how sick you were. The doctors told me and your father they didn't think you would make it funny how back then I dressed you in exactly what you wear today by your own choice. Not only did you make it. You really showed us all how strong and tough you really are. I could not express to you how proud I am of you. You become a very strong and smart young man. I still remember the day you told me you were joining the Army you were 17 and in the 11th grade and I thought I was gonna die. You always made smart choices and for that my son I am proud of you. I worry about you daily but i know your doing what your heart tells you to do and that is to fight for our country. Baby always be proud of who you are. I pray for you daily and count the days that your home from Afghanistan. Know always how much I love you and how proud I am of you. All my love God Bless You Mommy I made rolled up letters and tied them with string and for embellishments and burnt the edges of the letter to give it a diffrent look had fun with this page and the sentimentsl meaning of what he means to me!! tfl
