This is for Debby's Dare, week 21, about one of your greatest fears. I altered the photo so that it looked more like a painting on the wall. Lace and the overlay was used to represent old age. My journaling reads:
My greatest fear of all is growing old alone. I loved raising my three boys - they were the joy of my life. But they are now grown and living their own lives. And 22 years in a difficult marriage resulted in this quiet bride never really having had the opportunities needed to become comfortable in social situations. Making friends is difficult for me. I’m afraid my sons will become too busy with their grown lives, and my few good friends, who are all older than me, will pass before me , leaving me rocking slowly in the shadows - alone…..
