This is so awesome! I love how you used so many of those great pics without making it look cluttered. How'd you do that??? It looks so clean!
I know what you mean about being scared to scrap those important birthday photos. I always feel the same way (which is just silly). You did an awesome job!!!
Oh my gosh! This is too too funny! I love it!
BTW, I can totally relate on the stressing over the *important* pictures! I always over think the big events. :) You did an awesome job and I think this layout is perfect!
OK, are you kidding me? THIS is perfect. The journaling is sweet, isn't that what we want our first birthdays to be like for our kids. For them to be able to PLAY in their cake, to make a mess, and even fall down into it! LOVE the pictures, they ARE fantastic, and you seriously did a wonderful job with them. You by no means messed them up. I know that feeling though, wanting to do the best pages with such precious memories. You did it well! ;)
I know what you mean, Megan! I haven't scrapped my dd's first year b-day either. I want them to be perfect because it was such a special event! Soon enough! Love this!
My ds's first birthday. I was so scared to do these pics because it was such a big event and I didn't want to mess it up, but I think it turned out ok...
journaling reads: We made it. My little baby boy is ONE YEAR OLD! Despite the fact that your birthday got lost in the move (we moved from Salt Lake to St. George ON your birthday) we celebrated just one week later with family. You shared the party with Hannah, as she had just turned three, and were fine with being just part of the spotlight. You quietly opened presents, including a bike with wagon, the Little People Barn, a tool kit, some cars, and more! When it came time for cake, all eyes were on you. Daddy and I had decorated a little cake with a big “S” in the middle, just for you! We set you down on a sheet and let you go at it. It took you a little time to be sure that digging into the bright colored frosting was a good idea, but in the end you were a mess! Especially since when you were done, you stood up (still a little unsteady) and took a couple of baby steps forward, then fell back right into your cake! You sat down right on it! It was hilarious. You’ve given us one year of love and fun, Seth, with your sweet smile, belly laughs, and inquisitive personality. I can’t wait to watch you grow and learn some more. Happy Birthday, big guy!
