That is a WAAAAY cute tradition!!! I will BEG my hubby to start it too!! (we'll see if he goes for it!) The layout is totally sweet as well...I especially like the three primas on the side.

journaling reads: Hannah, when I was growing up, my dad always got me a little something for Valentine’s Day and would place it on the front porch, ring the doorbell, and run to the back door and come in like nothing had happened. We always knew it was him...but that was part of the fun. To try to catch him. I wanted to do the same for you. Daddy picked out a coloring book and crayons and a pink purse...he didn’t want to give you candy, but I snuck some in. Being in an apartment, Daddy couldn’t exactly sneak in a back door, so we placed it outside and knocked on the wall. Fooled you! You ran and opened the door. You thought it very strange that there would be a purse on your front doorstep, and no person. But in the end you picked it up and dug in. Candy first. Coloring second. The patterned paper is all from Pebbles, Inc. The lo of the pp was from a make and take at the Pebbles store.
I used: bazzill cardstock pebbles inc. pp misc. black cardstock mm charmed word: valentine scrapworks tailored tab prima flowers die cut x and o misc. bead black ink and red ink from wal mart
