In my defense, I was a teenager. I didn’t know yet that knowing everything meant knowing nothing. That’s why when my parents suggested that I take my own simple camera to Europe, I thought they were stupid. I wanted to take Dad’s nice camera, with all the features. Except I didn’t know how to use them. I said I did, but obviously I didn’t. Because when I got back from the trip of a lifetime...I had eleven rolls of blurry film. Yes. Eleven. I couldn’t even cry about it, because then they would have known they were right. But if I could turn back time, I would have listened to them. And perhaps these pictures would all be in focus. Well, at least I have the memories...
