Hannah fell in love with this Horny Toad, which is actually a horned lizard...they are only found in the western states and mexico...I looked it up on the internet!

the specimen card reads:
Desert Horned Lizard: Phrynosoma platyrhinos
also known as Horny TOads due to their flat toad-like bodies. FOund in western states and Mexico only.

Found near Zion National Park

Fred was discovered by Aunt Tennille at 10:15 am. Naming and Observation was done by Hannah over a period of several hours. After a fair bit of convincing, Fred was returned to the wild around 3:30 pm. {catch and release}
