27 buttons!! Holy moly!! They look great but even though I have hundreds I would freak out to put that many on a project...not that we won't buy more...but you just never know! Looks good.
WOW... that is just darling. I love the pp you used for the hill & tree, the house w/ the heart knob & button roof is so creative and the stitching for the smoke totally rocks!
These are Christmas Eve photos from 2008 at my parents' house. My mom made a stuffed crown roast that year. Yum. I used a sketch that I had saved on my computer, but I don't know the source -- it's labeled LS132 and is one of three sketches on what might be a scanned page from a book or magazine. I'm sorry I can't give better credit.
I drew and hand cut the house and hills and used my Cricut for the tree and title. I stitched 27 buttons to the roof. I cut a rough rectangle out of a scrap of fabric, machine stitched it to the LO, and then frayed the edges. I used a heart brad for the doorknob. I hand stitched the smoke coming from the chimney and the two flourishes on the center top and bottom of the left page. I popped some snowflake stickers up with foam tape. The MME pp's are glittery so there is a lot of nice, subtle sparkle to this LO.
This is my example for my December Four Categories Challenge - Category Four ~ Theme: Holiday Magic. The twist is to have some stitching - machine, hand, or faux on the LO. I have machine and hand.
Also for: 1) VLB Challenge to do a LO about Family. 2) December Sewing Challenge with the twist to stitch at least 3 red and 3 green buttons to the LO. 3) December Music Challenge Category Two: Song Title. Back Home Again in Indiana is a beautiful song that was written in 1917. It is sung before the Indy 500 every year. I have the family twist.
