I always do monthly summary pages in my albums as an overview and to include random odds and ends, if I have any, that won't fit on other LO's. For 2010, I settled on a much, much simpler concept than the themes I used for '08, '09, and '13 because I find I get burned out doing 12 similar elaborate LO's. (You can see the themes I used/am using for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2013 in my gallery in the Month LO's album.) I am adapting an idea from an old Creating Keepsakes Magazine article for these 2010 monthly LOs.

My photos here are either extras from LOs where they wouldn't fit, or random photos that I don't want to do individual LO's for. On the left: one of my crab apple trees and my outdoor fireplace both covered in snow. On the right: a sepia edit of my dd before a ballet class, my Yorkie in a shot her groomer took of her and gave to me, my dd playing in the snow, a print out of the invitation to one of my dd's friend's bday party, and a selfie of me after a hair appt. I used the last 4x6 section for a date list/schedule for the month that I made in Word and printed on vellum. I also included my movie ticket stubs from January tucked under the photos on the left, and made a tag for some additional info that is tucked behind the title block. I dry embossed the pink blocks with a snowflake pattern and tied glittery snowflake patterned ribbon to the tag. I also doodled some stitches here and there. Anyway, not the most exciting LO, but I'll be glad I did it this way by the time I get to August's. LOL

Edit 8/14: So, I was just not satisfied with this LO - mainly because I didn't like the way the vellum fit into the LO, and I also thought the left side was too blank. I removed the brads and vellum from the right and inserted the photo of my dd's class at the Chicago Bears headquarters instead - it's a near duplicate of one that I will use on the LO about that trip. Then, I wrote the calendar information that had been printed on the vellum around the edge of the left side of the LO. Minor changes, but I like the look a little better.
