I love the way you carried the strip of striped paper from one page to the other. Ties it in beautifully. I love this idea for using the odd and end leftover pictures each month!
I always do monthly summary pages in my albums as an overview and to include random odds and ends, if I have any, that won't fit on other LO's. For 2010, I settled on a much, much simpler concept than the themes I used for '08, '09, and '13 because I find I get burned out doing 12 similar elaborate LO's. (You can see the themes I used for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2013, as well as the others for 2010 in my gallery in the Month LO's album.) I am adapting an idea from an old Creating Keepsakes Magazine article for these 2010 monthly LOs.
I've included a selection of photos from the month: a red squirrel at our cabin, my new washer & dryer I got that month, my dd at school, the kids looking through telescopes at an evening Star Party at school, my dd performing halftime at a high school football game, and my friend Jimmy on the left...my friend Darla and Cassie at the game on the right. I wrote our schedule/calendar info from the month around the outside edge of the right page. The block on the right page serves as a pocket for some 'extras' from the month, i.e. an invitation, a newsletter article, tickets, etc. I stuck a movie ticket under the right photo block also, so it wouldn't fall into the bottom of the pocket. I added a couple brads and did some doodled stitching on the circles and around the block on the right.
