A layout I did a while ago, but forgot to post. Had fun with this one! Bright and just so totally my DD. Journaling:Your love of books continues to amaze me. You often forgo playing with the other kids or watching TV. just to look through your precious books. You run to any adult within your short reach hold out your book with anticipation and ask, “Read me a book?” When they agree you practically throw the book on them and climb into their laps as fast as you can, not wanting to waste a single second of your story time. You sit more quietly while we read than any other child I know. You don’t try to rip the page out of our hands and push through it as other kids your age do. You are content to sit and listen, drinking in every word of the story. And if for some reason we are busy and cannot read you the story, you are not discouraged. You simply take your book someplace of your own and ‘read’ it to yourself. I love listening to you try to read. Your cute little voice and the funny depiction of the familiar stories bring a smile to my face. On the day I took these I found you all alone in the living room with a small audience of stuffed animals that you were reading to. At first you were a bit embarrassed that I was cooing over the adorable site before me. However, soon you didn’t seem to care and went right on with your storytelling. I can’t wait to teach you to read so you can read for yourself the wonderful adventures in these books. But I still hope that once you do you will still want to climb in my lap every now and then for story time.
