WOW>>>>that tree is HUGE!!!!! TFS! I like how you cut the white matting, the butterfles are nice, and the MS punch around the border is pretty! I really like that you included a close up and long shot photo! :)
OMGosh! I was born and raised in Tyler and I knew nothing about this tree! Well, I will have to check it out this summer for sure. It is beautiful and the lo is wonderful. TFS- Ginger
That tree is certainly enormous!!! Love the really nice photos, particularly the one of the lovely flower. I enjoyed reading your informative journaling! Love the butterflies, too!
Some pictures I took this spring of the biggest magnolia tree in Texas...it is huge. My sister is standing by the trunk to give some idea of the size of it. The middle left picture is part of a massive root system that has eaten several graves...I like to think those people are now part of the tree. The bottom right picture shows how it spreads into the road. I was hoping to catch it in full bloom but I was about 2 weeks early. My 2nd great grand uncle, David J. Bedell, is buried in the cemetery...he was a pastor of the Hopewell Church until he passed in 1905. The cemetery and the church are all that remain of Hopewell now. I did a bit of masking with the MS punch as a stencil. I used the MS butterfly punch for my butterflies (new). I have a lot of trouble with multi-photo los, but decided to put all these on one page, just to demonstrate how massive this tree is.
