I agree that mother's know their children.I work in the lab and we see a lot of strep in kids less than 5. Anyway, what a cute idea for a LO. Hope he feels better!
Oh, poor little guy! Sometimes you wonder about these doctors. When my kids were younger and they complained of sore throat, I ALWAYS made sure they took a throat culture; better safe than sorry, I think. Lesson well learned, Mika! Hope he feels better. Cute LO!
Inspired by a LO called Sick Day ?? & Wendy Sue Andersons Crazy Cute LO.
One Feburary day my son was not his usual self. I had taken him to Pediatrics earlier in the week with suspision he had Strep throat but they told me children under 5 usually do not get it. By the weekend he was screaming, groggy and an extremely high fever. We had plans to go the a birthday party but instead we headed to Childrens. I didn't care how long it took I wanted to rest peacefully knowing what was really wrong. After a culture and about 3 hours of waiting it came back POSITIVE! Why do they doubt a mothers knowledge, just because we didn't attend med school. Things are changing and anything is possible now a days. For the rest of the night worn out from Strep throught this is how he lay on the couch. Even with balloons (his favorite) brought back from the party by his big sister he didnt flinch?
