This is so cute! I love the little doodle bug monster you used. :) I love that you documented this. I can completely relate!! We have had plenty of those meltdowns with my two girls spread out over a few decades! There have been a few times that we will drive to the Mall of America because it is too cold out. This past Halloween, nobody went trick or treating. Brit, being in 8th grade is getting too old. Ben, didn't want to hurry up and eat his dinner. I told him if he didn't hurry and finish, he couldn't go.. he didn't go. He is SO stubborn (very much like his oldest sister!).
I can soooo relate to this! ha ha! I finally figured out that they had to have 2 costumes ....one for school indoors, and one to trick or treat outside (something WARM!) Wonderful lo!
It's tough to be a little girl trick-or-treater in Michigan. You want to have a pretty, flimsy Tinkerbell costume, and then your mom tells you to put on a shirt and pants underneath it. Cue, meltdown of nuclear proportions. This has happened to us 3 years in a row so far...that's got to be some kind of Guiness record! :) Journaling reads: "It's a terrible fact that Halloween in Michigan is almost always a cold holiday. It often requires a layer of clothing under the costume. Unfortunately, for Erin, this is more than she can bear. The thought of extra clothing under her Tinkerbell made her lose her mind--just like the year before. One hour of crying later, the dress-up bin came to the rescue." And yes, although I haven't done the 2011 layout yet, she did melt down again this year too!
