I have no idea why you're disappointed with this layout - it's beautiful! I love the frame and butterflies. The title really contributes to the storybook feel.
Okay....so what is wrong with this again?? That mat is amazing and I think all the colors match perfectly!! Fab flowers and butterflies...it's all perfect!!
I cant believe I miss this!!! This is so stunning!!!! I cant believe you say your disappointed, I wish on my best day I could make one of these!!! this is GORGEOUS!!! I love it ALL!!!! The butterflies are GORGEOUS!!! I just love it so much!!! A FAV!!!
I THINK THE PINK PHOTO FRAME WORKED PERFECTLY! AND THE JOB YOU DIDI WITH THE FLOWERS MADE THE PAPER COME TO LIFE!! YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOUR WONDERFUL WORK BECAUSE IT IS!!!!
...There lived a beautiful princess. Then she grew up to become a perfectionist. Which makes it really difficult when you're a scrapper too. You try this...and that and nothing works until it finally comes together. And then, 'Wahoo'. it's perfect, just like this page! And yes...I like the pink...
Have a happy scrappy life, Trudy
not sure why you don't like it... cause I sure do! the frame matches the 3 larger flowers perfectly. Which BTW I love the frame.. you cut it with the Silhouette I'm assuming?? Thats an awesome frame. Personally think that is PERFECT for this layout! GREAT job OH and I LOVE that paper, Haven't seen it here. Matches perfectly for the theme!..
Lori you are so clever, finding those butterflies on the net, then embellishing and popping them. They look terrific and the LO is so pretty. What a little doll you were. :-) The work you did on the flowers is nothing short of amazing. I am totally gonna steal that idea. Oh, the power of a Signo pen! I really like the rounded corner in the upper R with the little puncned flouish. Beautiful page.
You should not be disappointed with this lo. It is beautiful! The photo is adorable-you still look the same!! That frame is a border punch?? Amazing. And i love the tiny flowers.
Somebody liked it enough to put it on the front page! That frame around the photo is gorgeous. And I did something similar with the retro flower punch, so I feel you pain!
Wow Lori, the detail on this is amazing, the flowers, corner punch and butterflies, I can't imagine how long this took. The frame is cute and it looks like you are coming through the door off the paper, lovely layout!
Oh my goodness, this is just great! NO idea why you dont like it - that frame is just amazing! The soft colours are so pretty and girly, and the butterflies are the perfect embellie - LOVE it!
That frame is just perfect for your photo and adding the little pops of pink flowers and butterfly just tie it all together. I love how you added the flowers, adds a nice dimension.
Beautiful!! Love those flowers!!! You made the butterflies look super! Does the flower punch also add lines to the flowers?? Love that you outlined them!! jen
How did I mis this? I think this is Gorgeous!!!!! I love the way you added the flowers to the pp and your butterflies are beautiful!!! I love where you placed the ribbon holding the bouquet also - very clever!!! And that photo of you is simply adorable!!! Def. Fave!!!
OMG, are you kidding Lori? This is absolutely amazing! Love all the flowers, so many beautiful details! Love the title work , the picture frame, butterflies ... love it all. Adding this to my favorites. BTW, Thomas is sitting here telling me "I like this picture".
I think it looks WONDERFUL! Love the diecut frame and all the gorgeous flowers you so patiently made! This is a LOVELY, delicate and feminine LO....just like the little girl in the photo. Great job, Lori!
You crazy girl, whats there to not absolutely love about this, its adorable. Everything is perfect, so pretty, flowers are amazing congrats on a great job doing all them and I adore the frame, when I see your beautiful cuts like that you know what I want hehe..great job my friend love it, fav.
This is amazing Lori! I don't know how you got the pattern in that beautiful frame around the photo to fit so perfectly. And those flowers! Stunning, as are the butterflies. I'd have been thrilled to bits had I produced this lo!
Awww! I'm so sorry you're disappointed because I think it's wonderful! Such a precious photo needed a lot of flowers and frills and I think it's perfect!! Love the way you placed all those little flowers and your butterflies are great! Don't you just love all the new designs for the Silhouette!!! I love it more every day!
Lori, I think it's beautiful! I LOVE all the little punched flowers...my what a lot of work to outline them all!! LOL!!! The frame is gorgeous as is the title work!!! I do understand how you feel though...I often finish a layout (well...quit working on one) because it just won't come together like I had envisioned! But....NO worries on this one...because it's AWESOME!!
Lori, I think it looks great, but I know how you feel, happens to me a lot, as a matter of fact, I am working on one now that just won't come together. Maybe today(sigh). I think your frame matches with the butterflies perfectly. And what a cute little you~~~
Oh, I think you carried it off quite well! Although I can sympathize with the color choice deliemma, you did beautifully here! Many times I ask myself how I can have so much paper and none of what I am looking for works...but this definitely worked...just gorgeous...those flowers and butterflies are incredible!
I am so disappointed with this LO. I liked the pp but couldn't figure out what colour to make the mat; nothing seemed to look decent except for pink, which doesn't thrill me. I tried using a border punch but it looked terrible with the background paper. Even layering didn't work. I feel nothing really worked well. This is me when I was 3 (at least I can rhyme! LOL)
I found the butterflies on the Internet. I drew lines on their wings, defined them with coloured pencils and glitter. The butterflies and pink flowers have pop dots for dimension.
Each tiny flower was made with the small Retro flower punch and then outlined with white Signo pen - all 34 of them!
Silhouette - title and photo mat Swarovski crystals - around photo mat- Jolee's Jewels EK Success - Retro flower punch (2 sizes) Fiskars 3-in-1 embossing corner punch Martha Stewart glitter pp - The Paper Company distress ink sheer ribbon Signo pen pop dots Prismacolor coloured pencils chalk
