This was a fun lo - probably cuz I waited all winter to be able to get a winter pic! Scan is kinda icky - the green scanned more yellow. Forgot to add the rub-on 2006 to center of chipboard shape - will add later. TFL!
Journaling (a little lengthy): It's Minneota. It's winter. It's a place where kids spend winters sledding, ice skating & building snowmen. It's a place where older generations brag to younger generations about the much harsher winters they endured as kids. Well Brady, not this year. As far as Minnesota goes, this one has been pretty wimpy. You will have no bragging rights for future generations. Yes, we had some cold temperatures & snow in December, but you were sick so we didn't get out to play. No problem, there was plenty of winter left, right? Wrong. January was the warmest on record & any snow we had seemed to come during morning rush hour & was gone by evening. I was beginning to think that you would never get a chance to try out the sled Santa brought you or to even build a snowman. Then came March. Thee week before Spring. Two snowstorms dumped 19" of snow. But we live in a townhouse with a small front yard. After the plows came by, we had about 5 feet of hard-packed, dirty snow covering our entire yard. But we were determined to build a snowman. After all, this is Minnesota. And it's winter. So, we managed to scrape enough snow from our patio to build our snowman. We added rock eyes, a clothespin nose & twig arms. OK, let's admit it for those future generations. We ended up building a "Snow Baby"...a wimpy snowman for a wimpy winter. But I still had a great time with my snow babies!
