I totally dig the pp circle bubbles, I love how the pp is kind of an untraditional choice for bubbles. Also LUUV the mermaid page - the dimension, expressive tag writing & groovy pp create a perfect stage for her (I used assorted nautical charms, including a similar mermaid, w/ raffia for my wedding invitations!). Normally, I'd say the "mermaid" pp letters on the left are a little hard to read but that factor adds to the watery dreaminess of this book & I wouldn't change it here. :)
Okay, I love mermaids, too. Remember Sea Wees from back in the day? I initially thought those rings were such a cool way to use pps normally unassociated with bubbles, before I read your description. I wouldn't change it. I like the consistency in the pps so far.
On the left, I used circles and rings trying to evoke bubbles. I'm not that happy with the result.
On the right, I used punched out seahorses and a mermaid pendant. She is tied to a chipboard button which is glued down, allowing her to be removed if Daniel wants to use it.
Text: The mermaid rises up from the depths of her lake to reveal secrets that only she knows. "Leaves in the forest can grant wishes."
