shcg: i like how you did the initials. the bling is great, she should treasure this. the only thing i could suggest is make a slight darker border around the edge. or maybe just darker corners. love this just as it is too.
SHCG: Oh my goodness I can see why she thinks she is a princess, she is so adorable! I love every pricess thing about this lo, the glitter, the pink, the butterfly, LOVE the initials. Great LO.
SHCG: Howdy! Welcome to our group! Ok, let me take a look at this fabulous little layout you have put before us...... First impression, fan-freakin-tastic. I really love the whimsy and enchanted feel that you have created and how it is symbolic of her convictions. Alrighty, Brian, let me make a confession. I have a bit of an inking/outlining addiction. You will notice that I make a lot of suggestions involving that very technique. Please take them for what you will. That said, I would suggest outlining (since the elements are adhered) the "k" and "c" with either a taupe, brown, or metallic color that complements the page so that them jump out a bit more. Similarly since the photo isn't matted, I'd like the same done (with the same color) around the outside edge of the photograph (which is sooooo adorable). I would also suggest that the butterfly be nudged down to the bottom third of the eyelets, as I am a huge fan of the rule of thirds. Now, although I have offered these suggestions, let me finish by saying this rocks in a fairy princess kind of way. I think this is exquisite and can't wait to see more, babyboy!
SHCG: KC is a lucky gitl to have such a pretty page made around here. The KC tages are just fab-u-lous and the gold bling makes the page extra special without going overboard. The butterfly is just perfect.
WOW, FANTASTIC PAGE, AND SHE PROBERY THINKS SHE IS A PRINCESS BECAUSE SHE SURE LOOKS LIKE ONE.
LOE EVERYTHING YOU DID ON THIS PAGE, THE PHOTO ,THE PAPER, THE GLITTER AND THE WORDS. AND GOES INTO MY FAVS RIGHT NOW, HUGS
SHCG: This page is befitting of a little princess. I don't seem to have the option to get a larger view of your lo, so I'll try my best with suggestions. I like the monogram pp and the borders on the tags. Cute idea to have three strips for the title with torn edges for the first and last words. The crown and butterfly are cute accents. Since your page is so glittery, I'd go with the less is more approach so that your little princess can truly shine. To accomplish this I'd put the crown on the butterfly, and probably eliminate the brads since you already have photo corners. I think the photo would stand out more if you used a green mat that is complementary to your existing pink, and that has a thinner margin with clean, simple lines. Finally, I'd replace the center of the flower with a bigger brad (pearl), rhinestone, or gold button. I love what you wrote about your niece and can see that as added journaling to your page. Decreasing your size to 8x8 seems to be a good choice. You asked about adhesives--I use all sizes of Zig.
SHCG: This is so sparkly and pretty, your niece is definately a little princess! Love the papers, the butterfly and the bow of brands, the inital tags are cool! I agree with adding something on the bottom left hand corner. Maybe one of those pretty butterflies that have the see-thru net wings. Great job :)
SHCG: I think the LO rocks!! I love the DCWV (your right that pp stack is sometimes hard to use) but you used it perfectly! Love the tags. Only sugestion would be to add a flower cluster under princess, maybe in white, to balance the top heavyness of the LO. Also like to see some journaling that goes along with what you wrote about in the discription. If you don't like the flower cluster idea you could always put the journaling along the left and bottom edges to give the balance as well. I think the LO over all is fantastic & can't wait to see more from you. Welcome to SHCG!
SHCG - What a sweet photo & a beautiful LO to go along w/ it. I adore the pretty pp, swirls, & bling. The palette of pinks & golds is gorgeous. Are the "KC" tags doodled or punched? Either way looks great. I think the title is kinda hard to read & would've been more visible if the papers you used to matte it were reversed (ie letters on the darker rose w/ the lighter rose as the outer matte). But since it's glued down already I will say that the gold letters on the lighter color do lend themselves to the dreamy, ethereal quality of this page! I also think the LO is a tad bit top-right-corner heavy, so maybe the addition of an embellie or embellie cluster around the bottom left of "princess" would be a nice balancer, creating a visual triangle w/ the flower & butterfly, as well as giving us another chance to see more of those beautiful embellies! Lovely girl, lovely page. :o)
SHCG: Sometimes smaller is better. You certianly have proven that here. The glitter is wonderful and her smile is priceless!! I would just suggest running the brads across the top of the photo mat, too. Just for a little balance. Great colors to match the princess theme. Welcome to the group!!
SHCG: This is so pretty!! I probably would have pulled in a darker shade to balance out all the pastel colors, but I don't think you need to add or change anything on this one!! Just curious, what size is it?
shcg: I've been loving that DCWV paper pack; just have no necessity for getting it. Anyways, I like how you cut the title portion out and layered it. I kind of wish that the butterfly on the right side was popped up 3D above the brads. Also, and it may be my OCDness, but the pattern of the round and flower brads not being even bugs that side of me. Overall, very cute. The photo is cuuuuute!!
My niece is absolutely convinced that she is a princess. This is my first completed* layout of 2009! I started this one a little over a year ago. Back then, it was a 12x12 page. I couldn't figure out how to make it better for a long time. Making it smaller seems to have worked well. It is 8x8 now
