This series is so completely different from anything i've seen on this site- this is art rather than the graphic art/decorative hobbyist stuff I see here all the time. It's fantastic!
SHCG: I really like the openess (is that a word?) that comes across in this LO. The airplane is awesome and your friends look very cool. I do like Brenda;s idea of adding arms, but based on what I have seen of the book so far, it might not work well. Maybe angel wings of some sort. The journaling says so much! Another fantastic LO for your book.
SHCG: Lovely lo! I love the airplane, the tree, the guys, the journaling... everything is so very cool! I have been having tons of fun looking at the pages of your book!
SHCG: Interestng! Just one question though...why are the people armless? Thejournaling is very movng...and so true! I like the page the way it is, very artistic.
SHCG:Love the airplane!! I'm still ot sure about the armless ppl though not use to that sorta thing but again I think that is what makes your pages unique:)
SHCG: Another very funky page. :) I like your style with these. Love the dog and the airplane; they really add a lot of personality. At first, I thought you were making a statement with the armless people... even though it looks a little strange to have armless people, this is such an artistic page that I think it's fine.
yes, yes, I've too been troubled by the lack of arms on this page in particular. As soon as I figure out just what sort they should have, they'll get them. I'm not so great with hands is all... although, knowing me these two will end up with monkey arms or something...
SHCG: I love the sentiment of this page, the sweet expressions on their faces, the dog, and the airplane. The journaling from the facing page to this one create a nice flow from one page to the next, while the airplane carries us to the next page. My only suggestion involves the arms. I know you've gone armless in one other page. The facing page I think is fine without arms because of the wings, but I really feel like these guys need them. However, I don't think they literally have to be arms, but something more suggestive in line with your aesthetic, like tree limbs. I think there's a lot of symbolism behind using them--growth, history, age, branching off, family tree, connections, etc.
SHCG: I like this, almost "steam punky" but a little brighter....I would've added some more embellies near the journaling and would've made the journaling a tad bigger....but it might look better IRL than in a pic on here.....very nicely done!
ah, yes... I really do need to label the people with names somehow. I'll do that when I go through the whole book for small updates, which I'll do after I'm initially finished.
SHCG - More stylistically armless folks for your wonderful book! Since you've been doing them this whole time, they make sense to me; as I said before, they remind me of little Fisher Price peg people. Excellent page & journaling. I like the feeling of expansiveness the plane gives the sky. More of those fab circle pp trees! I don't know if the scotty dog represents a real life pooch but I'm totally digging it. I haven't noticed if you've been labeling people w/ their names in this book but I'd like their names somewhere; if not on the fronts then at least on the backs for future viewers. Your creativity is boundless in this book!
