Oh what a precious memory and what a good sport Mom is. I love this. That happened to me one time when James and I were first married and I got all dolled up and out we went. Well After the meal I ordered cappucino and tried to get him to taste it. When he didn't want to I jokingly (spell) said that I could never teach him to have any class and he laughed and said "If I was sitting there with whipped cream on my nose I wouldn't talk about having class" Sure to goodness, there I set with whipped cream on my nose. You did a great job on this, I love it,
Oh Maureen this is wonderful! I LOVE that movie and that's is the very first thing I thought of when I saw that too-large-to-be-real mug of cocoa. Your letters are adorable (what are they???) and the photos are priceless! I love the whole layout-thanks for sharing!
This is truly wonderful Maureen, how great that you had your camera with you to capture this fun moment ... I really should start doing that as well, they often make the best pics and memories. The LO is beautiful, I love the inking of the title and I especially like the dots, they add to the playfulness of the LO and pics.
This is so truly Beautiful!!!
A very Precious memory to scrap too!
I'm glad to hear that you carry your camera where you go, especially with your mother..!
Your layout design is just Gorgeous!
Full of Love and Admiration as Always!!

THIS is SO WONDERFUL, Maureen!!!! I am thrilled you had your camera with you~~ a true scrapbooker~~Along with special occasions or momentous events, I find that day to day occurances often make superb pages that will give a meaningful and significant glace into our lives for future generations. You've captured a humorous, low key moment with your mom, but one that Miss Cupcake will hold dear! xxx
Mom and I had breakfast last weekend at our favorite place here in Independence, called J.Bella's. Instead of coffee, she decided she wanted hot chocolate.
So the server came out with this ginormous mug of hot chocolate...I was laughing cuz it reminded me of the movie "So I Married An Axe Murderer"...if you've seen it you know the opening with the giant mug of cappucino heading for Mike Myer's character, Charley. Of course, when he sees it, in typically sarcastic style he says, "Excuse me, but I believe I ordered the EXTRA LARGE cappucino."
So seeing an lo opportunity, I grabbed my camera (always with me)...and took the pic of her holding the steaming mug. Was about to put it away when I realized that when she took a sip and pulled the mug away, there'd be no way her cute little nose would be whipped cream-free....so I just snapped pics as she drank it and the results are what you see here. It was a cute moment and she was so funny with it.
I used Distress Ink "Tea Dye" and Craft Smart dye*based ink - RED - mixed to color the chipboard letters. Prima flowers. Papers are Crate Paper and Sassafras.
Thanks for coming by! Take care and Happy Thanksgiving, Maureen
