What a wonderful photo and story and I can sooo identify with that!! IIsn't it amazing how the "pound puppies" always turn into the most amazing companions...there's just something so special about them!! I have three that I got from the SPCA and they are just so different!!! I just adore those lovely soft brown eyes!!! My dogs are also so incredibly sensitive and in tune with my moods and like yousay...food for the soul is what they are!!! Love this lo!!
this is wonderful! I love the photo. His eyes are amazing. You can see that he is loved, happy, and very content to be sleeping with Nannie!!
Thanks for sharing!
Yes, always keep your camera close by is what I always say. Perfect example. Our furry family are very special. They do seem to know when you need thier attention, just like they love to receive ours, they love giving it just as much.
Hey Chester!!!! Thanks so much for making your Namie's day better, She really deserves to have every day be a wonderful day! Tell your Namie she did an incredible page with an incredible face xo
Maureen.....Everything you created and touch, touches me with so much love and inspiration.................
Chester Boy is extremely beautyful, and so full of love and character and compassion...That's why I love pet pages so much..They give ALL and Unconditionally...Your layouts really touch the soul.................oxox
Oh do I know this feeling! I adopted a poor torn up cat rescued by a wonderful group and this silly big thing makes my heart smile all the time. A bad day disappears at the door when that face is there looking up at me. This is a wonderfully touchy LO and this picture is just priceless! The greatest thing about rescue animals is they have no vanity, they have no idea what they do for us...they save the soul some days. Their special gift. Beautiful job on this!
I am amused by your sweet title...love it. But, I am especially moved by the photo. It exemplifies the saying, "A picture's worth a thousand words." The look on his face is relaxation and contentment! I am so glad he is there to comfort you and keep you company. The doghouse is really cute and I like the canine 'newsprint' as matting.xxxxxxxx
Sometimes God puts people in our lives at just the right moment and sometimes he uses animals too! I love that story and how awesome that your camera was right there! He looks so sweet! I love the title too!
Maureen, your journaling made me cry! I lost my precious Lucky a couple of years ago and how I miss his sweet sensitivity to my moods! Thank you for giving (gorgeous!) Chester a loving home. Rescued dogs are so grateful and loving. You have to wonder though, who really rescued who???? Sweet LO!
All I can do is second what others have said, although they have said it more poetically than I ever could. You are such a gifted storyteller and your gentle soul shines through in everything you create. Your words often bring happy tears to my eyes and Chester is so lucky to be sharing heart and home with you.
Maureen, I don't know which I love the most, your LO,s or your stories. Never, never stop telling us your stories, it makes your LO's so unique and always makes my day. I agree, every home should have a pet. They bring so much joy. I love his expression here.
Maureen....OMGosh! This is such a wonderful LO with a beautiful story to match.....Have you ever considered becoming an author?!!!!YOU REALLY SHOULD, MY FRIEND....some writing for the soul, or perhaps children's books. So many children NEED the sweet breath of spring that your writing paints. Hugs and love....Patty
M, LO is so wonderful!! I LOVE dogs!!! As much aggravation as Titus causes me, sometimes we just look at each other and all I can do is sigh!! He means no harm and only wants to give and receive love!!! I do my best to accomandate...Super photo and great lo!!
Sweet Chester boy.....my fuzzy, lovey granddoggie. He's been a part of our family since Ryan and Kelli fell in love with him (as he did with them) at the Humane Society shelter a few years ago.
While I'm sad he really can't be with the kids and Cupcake right now - hopefully, some day they'll be back together - he is such a sweet, funny, lovely, snuggly, goofy, faithful companion for me.
I was feeling a little down the other night and went to bed early and tried to read for a bit. Chester usually curls up around my feet at the end of the bed. He must've sensed I wasn't feeling quite right....he jumped up on the bed and nosed his way up under my arm and book and stretched all across my lap and just looked up at me and gave out this HUGE Sigh....like "tough day, eh, Namie....I'm sorry"
His eyes and expressions were so tender and caring and unconditional......I thought to myself that I wished I could remember the look on his cute mug forever.
As luck would have it, my purse (with camera in it) was right next to me.....so I snapped several gorgeous pics of him.....the expression of total relaxation and contentment in this one makes it my fave.
My very challenging, discouraging day, ended on such a warmer, brighter note. He has such a sweet soul.....doggies are such wonderful blessings!
Thanks for stopping by....have a great weekend, Maureen
