I didn't think they were all that ugly, I thought you were easy on me... but giving me that Happy Easter tag, I saw a basket in the brown print paper and went with it. It was the blue flower that really threw me off. I know I didn't have to use all the embellishments, but I wanted to see what I could do.
This is for the ugly paper challenge. The pink paper and the paper used to make the basket were the 2 pps given to me. I also used all four of the embellishments. I turned the purble and blue die cut over and painted it with Shimmerz red wagon. Then I put a pale pink flower on top of the blue flower given to me, the wooden Happy Easter went on the basket and the vellum "seize the day" above my journaling which reads: "Aunt Margaret had to work, so Jessica stayed at our house. First, the Easter bunny came, then after church we went to ... friends...for a an Easter egg hunt, then on to Grandpa's house for another egg hunt and dinner. You two were pooped out that night!"
I took the beige-ish colored paper and cut 1/4" strips and weaved it. Braided three strands for the handle then weaved some fiber through it. The cross is from a card also from the year 2001 that I cut out because I thought it was pretty.
Once I started weaving the basket, I couldn't stop until I was done with the layout. Thanks for my uglies!
