{{{{{hugs}}}}} you are an amazingly strong woman!!! It is hard to put our feelings and experiences out there and share them with others, but it encourages me so much to know I am not the only one who has dealt with these things. thank you for sharing :) And you did a wonderful job with the distressing techniques!
I may never have been that heavy- but I've been in that mental pit. This is a wonderful page to express where you've come from. Great job on keeping the weight off & going after more. You have a goal- you have support & a cheering squad- You are gaining momentum now in moving forward and up. Awesome job with all those distressing techniques- looks like this was a giant step for you in many ways. Keep up the good work :D

WHat a great incentive to keep on going. You are marvellous to have come out of that cycle and to keep motivated to make yourself healthier! Congratulations to you!

Wow, how inspirational!! Congrats on the awesome weight loss...especially the ability to maintain! So happy for you, it sounds as if you have a strong support system! Been there, done that and if you don't have strong people around to lift you up when it starts to come back around it is so much harder than it should be!! Oh, the distressing turned out fabulously! Doesn't look like your first time! WTG!
Congrats on your weight loss AND maintaining it which is the hard part..right? And good look with the next step. Thanks for sharing this inspirational layout. I see what you wrote on the photo and you can now put "ex" in front of it which has got to feel good. I'm glad you've overcome!! Your distressing with the coffee grounds worked great..looks cool.
congrats on not only having the courage to share your story but on overcoming your depression! This is a great page and the distressing is perfect! i'm going to have to give the tea and coffee technique a try!
Good for you! You go girl! Thanks for having the courage to complete the LO and then sharing it with us. It came out terrific! Now you have some new techniques in your bag of tricks.
Wonderful job! Keep up the ggod work. I was in a similar situation, and keeping the picture and embrace the situation it will help keep you on track of your goals!
This weeks Sketch challenge with the twist of distressing. I tried a new technique shared by one of the group members of using tea bags and coffee. I used both. I also crumpled the paper and tore some of it. I filed down the frame around the picture.
My girlfriend and I started "Incentive" books for ourselves. This was me 10 years ago (2001). I was in a fairly deep clinical depression that started from post par-tum depression 5 years earlier. I was over 300lbs. I lost about 75-80lbs and have maintained the loss and now I'm working at losing another 50lbs. Plus now, whenever I feel I might be getting depressed, I tell someone right away. I never want to be in that state of mind ever again! My gf encouraged me to scrap this picture and it took two months to build up the courage. The picture itself is distressed as I had crumpled it up and was going to throw it away but kept it all these years hidden away.
