I felt the same way about Fayetteville. I could not wait to leave. A guy tried to steal my car at the Bi-lo and someone pulled at gun on me in the drive thru. We had a hard time getting out of there too. CO was so much better.
My true feelings about leaving North Carolina: I could not wait! The thought of not being in Fayetteville anymore was amazing to me. I didn’t want to have to worry about robbers or traffic or the dang pine straw anymore! Don’t get me wrong, I loved Fort Bragg. I just think that they could’ve picked a better place to put it! When I saw the moving truck pull up to our house, it was surreal. We had been talking about this move for nearly a year. It had seemed so far away, and we had been through so many ups and downs trying to get it approved. It was a miracle really. Leaving Fayetteville for good was definitely one of the highlights of 2009! Goodbye North Carolina! It was real, and it was fun. But it wasn’t real fun.
