A layout about some of the smells in my everyday life that always remind me of home. It always amazes me how much a certain smell can trigger so many memories, so I wanted to highlight some of those on this layout.
Journaling says: They say memory is most closely linked to our sense of smell. I absolutely believe that. Every time I breathe in one of these scents I am immediately transported to my childhood, a place that will always be home.
I tucked a journaling tag behind each photo: Coffee. Every morning I woke up to the smell of Mom and Dad's early morning coffee. So very refreshing. Cheer laundry detergent. Whenever it was laundry day (which was almost every day with our family of eight), our whole house would fill with the fresh smell of Cheer. Lemon Pledge. Ahhhh. Saturdays at our house meant cleaning days, and no cleaning solution was used more than Pledge. That lemony-fresh smell meant clean, shiny furniture and the start of a new weekend.
Products I used: Bazzill cardstock (KI) Heidi Swapp brad - pink Scrapworks hugz Susan Reiss paper - blue Zig Millenium writer - black
