Journaling: Week 5: January 29-February 4
Monday’s daily challenge was actually a blessing in disguise. The challenge was for us to do a “Before and After” Photo of our scrapbooking room. Did someone at Scrapbook.com know my room was a mess? I got the whole room organized and looking very good. Now if only it could somehow just stay this clean. I give myself two days before the “After” is back to the “Before”! Tuesday was a hectic and disappointing day. I had to open my store at 6am and the happiness I got from my shift finally ending was erased when a passing truck kicked a rock up and into our brand new windshield. The rock hit right at the top when the glass meets the seal and put a nice chip into the glass. The only bright spot is there is no cracking so we should be able to get it filled pretty easily. We then found out that a car we were seriously thinking about buying had already been sold over the weekend so back to the used car drawing board. To top it all off it was the last day of January and I had to get my Anything Goes Challenge materials together and posted before the days end. David pitched in and helped when he got home from work. He is always so supportive! With his help I finished with a little time to spare. Thank you baby! Wednesday was an at home day to start the new month and the only thing I attempted to do was a makeover of my IPhone case cover, which turned into a complete failure. I guess not all things can be home improved! Thursday David had to work a half day as his manager was on vacation so our day didn’t start until 2:30pm. I worked on Week 4 while he was at work and caught Sweets snoring on the sofa. I always wonder what she might be dreaming about. I think she was chasing that darn Punxatawny Phil for giving us six more weeks of winter! David filed our taxes when he got home so hopefully Uncle Sam will get that refund headed our way soon! Friday David totally made my evening by bringing me home a Shamrock shake from McDonalds. OK, maybe I kind of informed him that they were back and that it might make me smile to have one. An episode of Grey’s Anatomy on the DVR and a Shamrock shake; does it get any better than this? Saturday I had a slow work day followed by a snow home day! Sweets was so happy to get to play in the snow again that she wore me out with all her running around so we both took a nap until David got home. We stayed up extra late cuddling, catching up on our recorded shows and preparing for a super Sunday tomorrow….a Super Bowl Sunday that is!
