Great idea for a page and I love how you mirrored the pics. The white shapes in the background are a little bit distracting, though, as is the white "E" of EGO.. Not sure how I would change it but perhaps you could just do some doodling on the white page with a pink pen or do some stamping to tone down the white a bit. Maybe brush some paint on it? That is if you don't want to start from scratch again, and I don't think you should, I love the stitching and everything else.. :) Hope this helps!
I love it--the colors, the mirror pics, the journaling (what a great story), and the title. It is busy, but it so fits the mood of the page. Great job--no suggestions. TFS.
Love this! First of all I think the colors you chose work perfectly with the picture. I love the mirror image with that title! This is such a clever layout. I also like the waves in the background. It kind of reminds me of fun house mirrors where you see double or a distorted image. the curves draw your eye into the picture. Again I think it all ties in together perfectly.
This made me laugh - how cute is that - her alter ego! I think this page rocks and is not cluttered at all!I love the title work - wow! The curves in the background and the stitching - wonderful! I LOVE IT!
The pp, title, and embellies are awesome! I love the photo editing you did, as well as the journaling. No suggestions from me on this one. I think it looks fantastic!
Traci, how cute!!!! No telling how she came up with the name!!! This is really cute, I love how you did the two pictures!!!! Clever idea!!! Perfect paper for the pics too!!!
Journaling.... “Anne, can you turn off the t.v. please,” I’ll say. A common response from Anne at the age of 3 ½ years was, “Mom…(as drawn out as possible, think very adolescent here)…Mom, I’m not Anne I’m Colexis.” Anne’s alter-ego. I don’t know when Or how she came up with the name (she probably heard a c in front of Alexis sometime and Colexis was born). I do know that Colexis has made an appearance just about every day the last couple of months and when she does, I’m not Mom anymore, I’m Traci, and Daddy is Jeremy, not Daddy. Usually, she introduces herself as Colexis and tack some extra information on the statement. Such as, “Hi, my name is Colexis and I’m wearing a pretty dress today,” or “Hi my name is Colexis and I’m going to draw today.” And although I’m not looking forward to the day that she tries to use her alter-ego to get out of trouble (Mom, it wasn’t me it was Colexis.” or “Traci, I didn’t do it. I’m Colexis. Anne did it.”), I actually think I’ll miss her when she’s gone.
