We missed the turn onto Jekyll Island and ended up crossing this gorgeous bridge. The bridge itself and the view were phenomenal! We were so glad we had made this mistake!! Journaling: "As we were caravanning on our way to Jekyll Island, we found ourselves to be the lead car on the last leg of the journey. However, no one had warned us that we would come upon the turn to the island very quickly! The welcome sign was placed in such a way that we did not realize we needed to turn…and so we passed it, and then immediately realized what we had done as we saw mom, dad, and the Hoffmans separate from behind us. Unfortunately, there were no places for us to turn around, so we were forced to cross the Sidney Lanier Bridge! However, upon crossing it we radioed the rest of our group to tell them just what they were missing. The bridge itself was an amazing piece of architecture and the view from atop it was absolutely breath-taking. Marc and I agreed that this was definitely the best WRONG TURN we have ever made!!"
