Journaling: "Camp Maeda was an important site during the Battle of Okinawa. There is still a large crater in the water where a bomb once hit. Because the crater has become a home to great varieties of sea life, many people come to the Cape to snorkel and scruba dive. Our group simply enjoyed the chance the cool off and take in another of the island's hidden treasures. July 2, 2008"
