Thank you! I am Okinawan who left Okinawa Island in 1980 and has not went back since. It is beautiful as I remember, it brings back lots of memories....

Journaling: "Ancestry and respect for the deceased is extremely important in the Japanese culture. For this reason, these beautiful burial tombs can be found all over the island of Okinawa -- sometimes in seemingly unusual places. Pictured on this page -- the top tomb was located near the center of town in Yomitan and the bottom one was just off the beach at Nakajin (Baptist Church Camp)."
