For the May sketch challenge- bonus week #4.

Journaling:When Dan and I first got together, I was appalled to find that he would
e-mail his Dad Happy Birthday instead of sending him a card. Now, I’m
no big deal on sending birthday cards, but I always sent one to my parents
if not my siblings- so, as soon as I could, I remedied Dan’s method by
sending his Dad a birthday card. Father’s Day cards and anniversary cards
followed, until Dan eventually got into the habit of finding cards for his Dad
himself. I can only imagine what his Dad thought at first, but eventually, we
started getting cards as well. For Dan’s birthday, Christmas, and then our
anniversary, which is close in date to theirs. Then, out of the blue, last year, I
received this wonderful birthday card from him and Carmen. I read and
reread it, thinking that when I look for a card, it has to reflect what I’m feeling
about that person at the moment. It filled my heart with joy. Finally, I felt that
I was accepted as part of the family. He called me his daughter in law. I will
always cherish this card. 10/2011

The title moves so that the card can open. see next pic.
