Double page layout for an 8x8 album... I tried to create a stark contrast with the bright pink and green against the more formal black & grey pattern to go with what was happening in the picture/story. I wanted to create a lot of movement with the words and embelishments to match my crazy little dancing girls. :)
Journaling reads...
"Before we headed up to Mont Serrat, we stopped at McDonalds. The girls both got happy meals with these lovely little toys in them. You can see it sticking out of Lacey's pocket in the picture. It was a plastic neon green music box that played one song... "CRAZY FROG." The girls LOVED them. Me, not so much. The girls played the song over and over again the entire time we were there. When I look at this photo, I can still hear the music playing in my head! While it drove me absolutely batty, I was happy that it kept the girls entertained at this "boring adult" location. Now (years later), I look back on that day and grin at the memories of my girls bee bopping around that sacred monastery and singing "bing, bing, bing, bong, CRAZY FROG!" Hopefully we didn't bother too many praying monks that day. :)"
