This is for the September Round Robbin - Group 8, week 3 as well as the Sept. Ugly Paper Challenge. My uglies were the tropical paper behind the photos and a Christmas holly page that I fussy cut to make the palm trees. My ugly embellie was the sneakers.

The journal reads: "Summer 2009. We spent a lot of time at the beach that year! Mostly we relaxed on the beach, but we also did a lot of bike rides from Will Rodgers Beach all the way to the pier at Manhattan Beach and sometimes farther to Palos Verde! - Manhattan Pier June 2009"
The twist for the round robbin challenge was to use rainbow colors. Initially I wanted to use a lot more, but it just didn't work for this page. I'm particularily happy with how the palm tree turned out considering I drew the trunks by hand!
