This is really fantastic. Love the colors, distressing, and all of the masculine elements here -- and that photo (and the story behind it) is wonderful!
Ah Peggy - I knew it was yours before it ever opened from the feature page. Awesome layout - sometimes simple is the best way to feature a heirloom photograph. :-)
Gosh Peggy this is amazing. What a stunning vintage/masculine lo. I love the rich colors in the pps, the design, the distressing and all the embellishments. There are so many details to enjoy. Nice work
This is my father's WWII portrait. He served in the Army Air Corp as a waist gunner in the “Flying Fortress” bombers that ran sorties over France and Germany, starting with the ball bearing factory in Schweinfort.
I made this layout at Camp, using the June "Looking Glass" kit from Swirlydoos. Krissy had been challenged to come up with a "masculine" kit and boy, did she come though!!! I kept this one pretty simple, mainly because I was so interested in seeing all of the wonderful techniques and design ideas that my Swirly Sisters were using. So, no flowers, just some distressing and inking, a punched border and the wonderful TH die to set it all off.
