The colors and embellishments, along with the sketch that came in the August Sun-Kissed Kit from Swirlydoos immediately made me think of this photo of a one-month-old Sophia, taken in June of 2009.
I've scrapped this photo before, using corrugated cardboard, tons of flowers and a few "Robin's Bees" (does anyone remember them?). http://www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=galleries&u=332343&m=view&id=2257109&type=-1&start=216&size=0&a=175511
I'm now using fewer flowers, altered chipboard and in an act of bravery, scattered gems.
The chipboard was covered with clear gesso to provide a base for the gorgeous Miner, Miner, 49er Inklingz that came in the Medium Add-On. The result is a true antique gold.
I cut circles in two sizes from the Authentique Beauty Seven paper. The larger was placed under the doily (from M's) with the bright yellow side facing up; the smaller piece was flipped over and glued to the center. I used a bit of the scraps as matting under my photo and a bit more to cut the leaves using the Spellbinders Die Add-On.
The blossoms and the gems came with the Main Kit; the larger blooms (and glitter heart) are part of the luscious Flower Add-On.
