I'm afraid that I'll have to admit to participating in some Swirly Shenanigans over the summer, all having to do with men in uniforms...
This page was designed following a Page Maps sketch that was chosen by Jan and her sister for their Challenge #76 and a tutorial that Paulien posted in March of 2012. (I have a link to her tutorial in my Swirly Forum posting.)
There are a couple of techniques discussed here; I used the first one, glue distressing. Rather than doing this on a piece of canvas, I crossed my fingers and covered a piece of cardstock with clear gesso and let it dry for a few hours before going on to the next steps.
Most of what you see here is at least a year old. The papers are a few of my remaining Glitz treasures and the bulb is one of the Ingvild Bohme Junkyard Findings from 2012. The hand trinket is something that I've owned for about 6 years. I fell in love with this chain and snapped up several while I had the chance.
The arrows are all Tim Holtz, using his Here and There stamp set.

(Special thanks to Jrabs, aka Jenabler, for the gorgeous Prima flowers.)
