This is some of my favorite journaling. It reads:
“Grandpa, how thick is your tongue? Is it squishy? What’s the inside of your nose feel like? What is this crazy hair on your face? Why is it so prickly?? I can see that your eyes are hazel, but what do they FEEL like??? Oh, be a good sport Grandpa; let me pull on your cheeks, lips and ears. Hold still while I inspect you all over” This is what I imagine you must have been thinking as you were “getting to know Grandpa.”
You met Grandpa Triplett on December 16th, when you were almost 6 months old. It was an extra special meeting because we were supposed to make the trip from London to Seattle in August (when you were just barely 2 months old), but we weren’t able to go. Grandpa was ever so sad. He impatiently waited the extra few months and when the special day arrived, he couldn’t put you down. You went to him immediately, as if you had known him your whole little life. As soon as we got home, Grandpa put you on his lap, hoping for a nice snuggle. Snuggling is not what you had in mind, you were busy exploring every part of him you get could your sweet little baby hands on. Needless to say, Grandpa was tickled and didn’t mind the inspection one bit!!

The washers say “little one” and “precious”…it didn’t come through too good on photo. I used the “g” monogram from the Basic Grey Lollipop Shoppe line as the guide for the “g” mono on this page.
