This is only the very front of this glacier. It goes back over the horizon for a long ways. Most people don't get to see this glacier except out at the entrance to the bay. We had special permission and our captain had to dodge huge ice chunk in the water which is an amazing feat. Imagine 1200 people on the 3 deck levels of this huge boat and not a sound being made. We heard that we were the 1st to see this glacier in the last 50 trips the ships had made. We were sooo lucky!!!
