This is my Italian nonno (grandpa) in 1993 a few mos before he passed away. The small photo was taken on his wedding day on Dec 16, 1923. He came from a mountain town -- Cansano, D'Abruzo, Italy and settled in CO.
This beautiful soul had hands the size of a bear's paws, could put the fear of God into little kids who foolishly ran thru his well loved garden and welcomed all babies into the family with a finger dipped in wine.
I decided to re-issue the geneology book that I researched and made and do all the new ones in digi los so that all my grandchildren may have a copy.
