Layout for our Grandson documenting his 14 th birthday.
Our son and daughter in law are so clever and fun. I knew they'd make Van's birthday special during the quarantine.
They adapted the old tv game show Let's Make a Deal and had Van play.
The banner is old Little Yellow Bicycle company. I have hoarded it for years waiting for the perfect need. Those Thicker letters are so old too.

......So we told Van to dress-up in a fun costume. He chose Santa on a business trip. Then he had to bring a bag of random stuff. One of his random items was a deck of cards. So Mom asked him if he wanted to trade the cards for an envelope. He said yes, and found $50 in it. Then Mom asked him if he wanted to trade the $50 for a box. He thought about it for awhile and said yes. In it was the Ninja blender he wanted. Then Mom asked him if he wanted to trade the box for what's behind the garage door. He gave a funny speech about how he came to play the game but was afraid to trade because he thought he would get a Zonk. He decided to trade and opened the back door to find 2 kayaks in the garage. He was so excited. Then Mom said he could win all or nothing by playing Blackjack. He is so lucky at cards and he got a 21!
He won it all!

We made a Harry Potter chocolate cake and it was delicious. It took us two and a half hours to make it. We ordered food from Greenfire for dinner. Of course we couldn't eat there because of the Pandemic. It was delicious. Van got his favorite bison burger. I (Nev) go pulled pork sliders. Mom and Dad shared ribs.
