I agree -- but I have a tag for my mom: I only use it when she's with me. People give me terrible stares when I get out -- I'm feel obligated to point at her. Also remember disabilities don't always show -- I have a friend with a terrible cardiac condition; though to look at her you wouldn't think so. she has taken crap from people for using her sticker -- and she really did need it. But all in all -- Respect the spots!!!!
I have been known to say something to someone for parking there and not suppose to. My sister was really sick and had to walk further because of this person.
Nice take!!! Only one way to interpret this but people are lazy & will use it if they think they won't get caught!!!! My brother has been a quadriplegic for 29 yrs & he very rarely uses them unless there is not any parking spots. He leaves them for people who need to walk. He amazes me!!!!
oh you have no idea! one summer my friend kristin and i (she's in a wheelchair) wanted to print stickers that said "i needlessly part in wheelchair accessable parking spots"...shed get away with it too, she's quite a cutie.
I sooooo totally agree! I've opened this big ole mouth too when I see people parking who do not have permits. I've even complained to the stores and the manager tells me there's nothing he can do! I told him try calling the police to ticket the cars...bet that would stop them from doing it again!!!!!! Yup, this subject gets me going!!!!
A big pet peeve of mine is people who park in this zone when there is nothing wrong with them. It took me a long time to break down and get a tag where I could park in these spots. My feelings were and still are to a great degree are that someone else needs it worse than I do. This sign means just that: parking for those who are physically challenged!
