For Elsie Flannigan's week #7 challenge....inanimate object.....
scenery on my drive to school
I used Fancy Pants patterned paper, rub ons, tags and ribbon; cut strips and used the BG Notch tool and We R Memory Keepers eyelets and Crop a Dial and tied the ribbon through the strips; Making Memories snaps and rhinestone brads; Bazzill flowers and cardstock; American Crafts metal letters (the Crop a Dial punched holes through these, too SOO easily!), stamps, and zig marker. I also sanded the photo -- loved that - gave a soft white edge! So many inspired that - Mistylynn and others thanks for the idea!
I think since I've moved from NYC to the suburbs of Richmond Virginia and get to drive through beautiful scenery, around the reservoir and over the James river every day, I love the peace in my life. I also had a serious illness almost 2 years ago and that gives a different perspective; AND I also have a very vibrant 6 year old and my world is very very quiet once I drop her off to school......after a 35 minute drive each way every day....so that prompted the journaling on the tag,
"September mornings ~ Special breakfasts ~ birds chirping ~ a few leaves turning golden colors ~ grab lunch and tote bag ~ talk excitedly all the 35 minute drive to school ~ hop out of the car ~ goodbye ~ I'M ALONE - LONELY - SAD - FOR A MINUTE -
