I am commenting again-this is really great!...The flowers are beautiful--the whole LO has subtle distinct design...nice to preserve the heritage for DD especially since you don't have too many...my mother had TOO many!
Fantastic! Isnt it amazing when you get to see the fashions, the cars and even the building details - and such a clear photo. You made this beautiful with all the soft sepia and brown additions.
OK...so I'm having a senior moment!!! LOL I could have sworn that I commented on this already, but I must have just looked at it. This is wonderful....from that great photo to your beautiful flowers and vines, stitching and those great chippies that look like metal. Don't get me started on sewing machines. Mine is still out of order!!! Can't seem to get the tension right. ARGH!!!
Great work! The chips look bronzed.. just the effect you were going for! I love your stitching! I am not good at hand or machine sewing .. so I admire it! I also love your color choices! TFS :)
Your chippies look just like old pieces of bronze metal, Vickie! So awesome!!!!! And I absolutely love the photo of your grandparents, too. You scrapped it so beautifully and with such creativity, my friend! And I agree with Cindy, you look like your grandmother!!!!!!!
lovely heritage layout, Vickie! The stitching looks great, but I know exactly what you mean-I was using my machine on a layout the other day and it was giving me a bit of grief!
Very BEAUTIFUL layout and lots of wonderful details to look at!! Your flowers, colours and design are just lovely for this beautiful heritage photo of your grand parents!! Love the stitched frames matting the photo too!! Just perfect!!
I love the bird and the branch but I really love the way the flowers look. Is that textured paper or did you make them textured? Love that, nice design.
Chicago, Ill; Circa 1930 - my maternal grandparents. Cut the bird and vine and a few flowers on the Cricut. The rest of the flowers and leaves were cut on the BigShot. Machine stitched on the mats and my sewing machine kept messing up (I remember now why I like to hand stitch on my LOs.) The chippies in the bottom corner were inked with several different colors to get the bronzed look. TFL
