Photo of MDG, Allen in 2007. I used EP Fine and Dandy papers for this layout. I used an old TH stamp on the solid white background behind all the layers. The bird and birdhouse is a sticker from the same collection. The hexagon with the turtle was cut from one of the ppr in the collection. (I'm trying to use some of those stickers that are included in the paper packs). The title work was cut with an old QK die and layered 4 times for dimension. The information strips with his name, age and the date were computer generated. Journaling wouldn't slid behind the mat (I glued the mat down...oops) So, I just cut a slit at the top of the mat and slide the journaling into a pocket that I adhered to the back of the layout. I also coated each title letter with crystal glaze. (The layout doesn't have a black border, I added that in photoshop so that the edges would fade away)
Journaling reads:
Allen, as I write this, you are 15 years old, have your learner's permit, and are driving whenever you get the chance. The look on your face at age 3 is the same serious look you get when you are concentrating on something. Even though you have this serious look…you have a great sense of humor and always have a great comeback! I love you more than you'll ever know!
