Supplies: large puzzle piece, emery board, glue, pattern scraps, brown stamp pad, craft knife, cutting board, fiber, foam adhesive dots, sitckers or other images, scraps white cardstock (fig 1)
1. Using the emer board, sand the glossy surface off the puzzle piece (fig 2). 2. Tear strips of coordinating scraps and glue to puzzle piece-overlapping slightly (fig 3) 3. Turn piece over and use craft knife to trim away excess paper. (fig 4) 4. Use emery board to lightly sand edges and surface of puzzle piece. Using sponge, apply brown ink to edges. (fig 5) 5. Randomly wrap fiber around puzzle piece and tie ends together. (fig 6) 6. Attach your chosen image to puzzle piece with foam adhesive dots. If you are using a sticker, it is helpful to rub powder on the back of it to make it "non-sticky" first. make small tags from white cardstock strips. Stamp or write relevant words on tags and ink edges with brown ink. Tie tag(s) to any exposed fiber from step 5 using an additional piece of fiber or ribbon. (fig 7)
